Woman charged with baby murder

A27-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a one-month-old baby boy who was pronounced dead in hospital. Malakai Watts was taken to Southampton General Hospital on 2 February, 2019, by ambulance, where he died four days later.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: “The ambulance service reported that they were dealing with a seriously unwell baby on the morning of Saturday 2 February 2019.”

A 42-year-old man also arrested has been released without charge.
