Former SNP deputy leader Jim Sillars has accused the First Minister of leaving the independen­ce movement “stranded” and at risk of splinterin­g as a new Alliance for Independen­ce party is being set up in a bid to win regional list seats in next year’s Holyrood election.

Oh shut up... Ms Sturgeon has a pandemic on her hands. If the SNP is to splinter so readily then perhaps they are not qualified or capable of taking a nation to independen­ce.
