Pedestrian hit by car on A96 dies
A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in the early hours of Monday.
The incident, involving a Mini Cooper, happened on the A96 between Keith and Huntly in the north-east of Scotland at about 2.30am on Monday. The 48-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed while investigations were carried out, with diversions in place until it reopened just before 2pm. Police said an investigation into the collision was ongoing.
