#WHEREISBORIS

A newspaper claimed Boris Johnson takes three-hour power naps since his run-in with Covid-19, prompting tweets about his lack of publicappearances. Reports say the Prime Minister has been planning a camping trip to Scotland.

@Nathanjstt wrote: “It is so important that the British public understand that whenever #Whereisboris trends, he comes back and makes things even worse than they were before. Y’all need to stop.”

@Lance_d_boyle added: “I really hope everything is OK. I’m rather worried about you. Something must be bad if you’ve gone AWOL again during another national crisis. Can you ask Dominic if it’s OK for you to give us a wave just to let us all stop worrying?”

@benedictm asked: “Remember when everyone thought Theresa May was the worst PM ever?”

@Westminsterwag reckoned: “Being prime minister is 24/7. The stress alone is incomprehensible. People make bad decisions when they are tired and stressed.”

@brawday said: “Not another holiday? Meanwhile in Scotland, First Minister hasn’t had a day off, never mind a holiday.” @Archieburrows said: “If you can’t stand the heat get out of Downing Street.”

#EASYJET

Budget airline Easyjet confirmed airport bases at Stansted, Southend and Newcastle are to close, putting 670 jobs at risk.

@Harryslaststand said: “The amount of permanent job losses due to Covid 19 is going to create a tsunami of financial despair around the country.”

@pietro1968 said: “Solidarity to the 39,348 Southend voters who understood that if you have a local airport used by Eu-based airlines, Brexit was going to be the bad idea that it turns out to have been.”

@carryon90s said: “This will be the death of Southend Airport. Easyjet were the only airline *really* using it. Hope not too many jobs are lost!”

@fizzyism said: “@easyjet Nice job pulling out of Southend & Stansted. Southend airport will suffer even more during this virus due to your lack of support. Not to mention your poor staff. I won’t be using you again.”

@uktimateone said: “Easyjet – another result of the #Tories bad management?”
