Heading upwards: Grossart Associates bullish a year into employee ownership

East Kilbride-based structural engineering consultant Grossart Associates has hailed its first year under employee ownership, including four hires. The firm said it did not see any decline in business during lockdown, with no staff furloughed and some temporary workers brought in, while it has a full order book. MD Hector Munro said: “Now that the employees own the business, there is transparency with the numbers and we know what has to be done.” Former owners Bill Grossart and John Macdonald sold the firm to an employee ownership trust a year ago.
