Swimmer who died in loch named
A man who died after getting into difficulty while swimming in a loch has been named by police.
The body of Stephen Slavin, 37, was recovered from Loch Caitiosbhal in Lewis after a rescue operation on Sunday.
The rescue was launched after police received a report of a man in difficulty near Marvig at 11.15am on Sunday. Mr Slavin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant David Mackinnon from Stornoway Police said: “Our thoughts remain with Stephen’s family.”
