Body found in Forth identified

A body found in the Firth of Forth has been identified after police issued an appeal for information.

Officers confirmed the remains are those of 41-yearold Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling.

The body was found off Preston Island near Culross in Fife on Wednesday, August 5. Police had appealed to the public for help in identifying the man, issuing a photo of a T-shirt with Downtown and the number 1989.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
