Rosen targeting expansion in North-east
Rosen is looking to grow in the North-east after reporting a 25 per cent increase in activity from its Aberdeen office in 2019, and continues to see a rise in demand for support services.
The company opened an Aberdeen office in late 2018, providing engineering consultancy services to the operators of oil and gas assets. It has grown its North-east team to nine from five, to fulfil work won both on and offshore encompassing the likes of materials and welding consultancy, corrosion control and management, and flow assurance. The Aberdeen team is backed by Rosen UK’S integrity teams in Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne.
Rosen intends to expand its local footprint, which will require more office space. It added that its Aberdeen team has been able to maintain a full support capability throughout the first half of 2020.
Bryn Roberts, technical engineering manager for Rosen in Aberdeen, said opening an office in the Granite City has been “incredibly” worthwhile.
“We had been in the process of supporting clients through the planned Forties Pipeline shutdown, scheduled to take place earlier this year. Now delayed until 2021, many operators will have to consider interim remedial work; Rosen’s extensive track record and expertise perfectly positions us to fulfil those requirements.”
Paul Birkinshaw, business development manager for Rosen, added: “2019 proved to be a highly successful year for the Aberdeen team, and 2020 has continued to show strong performance.”
