Midfielder Rogic poised to quit Parkhead for Qatar

-

Tom Rogic is on the verge of sealing a move away from Celtic, according to reports.

The Parkhead club are said to be in talks with an unnamed Qatari side over a potential £4 million transfer for the Australian international.

Rogic, 27, has yet to appear for the club so far this season, even failing to make the bench in one match. The midfielder has found first-team opportunities harder to come by over the past two seasons having once been an integral part of the starting XI under former managers Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers.

Rogic has been at Celtic since moving from Central Coast Marinersin2012andhasmade 187 appearances. His most notable moment in a hooped shirt came at the conclusion of the 2016-17 campaign, when his winning goal against Aberdeen in the dying seconds of the Scottish Cup final sealed a domestic treble and undefeated season for Rodgers’ side.

His Celtic contract still has another three years to run after he signed an extension in 2018.
