Keeper Mccrorie set for Scotland call-up

Robby Mccrorie will receive his first senior Scotland callup today when boss Steve Clarke names his squad for next month’s Uefa Nations League matches against Israel and Czech Republic.

Rangersgoa­lkeepermcc­rorie, currently on loan at Livingston for a second successive season, has been a regular for the under-21 side.

The 22-year-old, above, is set to be joined in the squad by recent Scotland first choice keeper David Marshall,whohasjust­completed

a move to Derby County, and Jon Mclaughlin, currently holding down the No 1 position at Rangers after a summer switch from Sunderland.

Scotland face Israel at Hampden on 4 September before playing the Czechs in Olomouc three days later. It is the start of their Nations League Group 2B campaign which also offers a potential play-off spot for the 2022 World Cup Finals in Qatar.
