Virtual viewings to aid property market

Glasgow-based Trace Studio and proper t y por tfolio busin e s s S q u a r e s t o n e G r o w t h have joined forces to help revitalise the commercial property market.

Trace, par t of the Galactic Media Group, is working with Squareston­e to enable online v i r t u a l p r o p e r t y t o u r s f o r companies looking for office space.

The Glasgow firm specialise­s in CGI interactiv­e viewings and is also working with residentia­l proper t y firms Cala

Homes and Robertson Homes in Scotland.

The deal with Trace means that companies lo oking for n e w o f f i c e s p a c e t h r o u g h S quarestone Growth will be able to use 360-degree virtual walkaround­s.

T h i s a l l ows b u s i n e s s e s t o see what future developmen­ts will look like inside, and even s h ows t h e d e t a i l o f wha t i s beneath flooring, such as pipe layouts.

David Houston, director of Trace Studio, said: “The property market – both commercial and residentia­l – is going to have to change drasticall­y in a post-coronaviru­s era.

“Time-consuming, multiple visits to view office space may not be possible any longer, and businesses will have to turn to technology.

“That’s why we’ve developed to ols that allow 360 - degree virtual tours of premises.”
