Russian and US military vehicle crash

The Russian military has blamed US troops for a collision of Russian and American military vehicles in Syria’ s north-east.

US officials said that a Russian vehicle sideswiped a light-armoured US military vehicle, injuring four Americans, while two Russian helicopter­s flew overhead. One of those helicopter­s reportedly came as close as20m from the US vehicle.

US National Security Council spokesman John U ll yotsa ida Russian vehicle struck the American vehicle near Dayrick, in north-east Syria. He blamed the Russian military for “unsafe and unprofessi­onal actions”.
