Coffey claims no questions on death

-

Therese Coffey has been criticised after claiming she had never been asked about the death of an asylum seeker in Glasgow, despite previously being recorded refusing to talk about the incident.

Mercy Baguma’s body was discovered by police in Govan lying next to her starving baby on 22 August.

The work and pensions secretary denied being asked about the Ugandan woman’s death and failed to express sympathy in relation to the incident when questioned by Sky’s Kay Burley yesterday.
