Sick Kids hospital ready in January

Work on Edinburgh’s delayed children’ s hospital will be completed in full in January, health secretary Jeane Freeman has said.

She said there was now a “confirmed timeline” for the work to be done by 25 January next year.

It comes after a report last month revealed a mistake in a spreadsheet several years ago contributed to the delay in the opening of the new hospital.

The Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh was due to open in July last year.
