Barnett boost

On the same day Nicola Sturgeon announced a £60 mil - lion plan to assist 16 to 25-yearolds to train or find jobs, the Westminster UK government launched a similar scheme wor th £2 billion. The effect of this, by way of the Barnett consequentials formula from which devolved par ts of the UK benefit, will see Scotland receiving around £150m from Westminster.
