11-year-old injured by man in mask

An 11-year- old girl has b een injured after a man wearing a face mask and gloves assaulted her in the Sighthill area of Edinburgh. Reports of a man acting suspiciously on the Calder Road of Edinburgh were confirmed by officers on Thursday when they revealed a young girl walking in the area was attacked by a man.

The 11-year- old was walking with a friend at the time of the assault which left her with minor injuries.

Chief Inspector Scott Richardson said: “Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries.”
