Man seriously injured in crash

A m a n h a s b e e n s e r i o u s l y injured in a two-vehicle crash on the A82 near Fort William.

The collision involving a car and a van happened at about 10am and p olice closed the trunk road in both directions between the town and North Ballachulish while the incident was ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: “A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.”

S ome drivers in cars were able to use the Corran Ferr y, but most traffic followed a 161mile diversion along the A861 before the A82 was reopened.
