New Dark Ages

-

Extinction Rebellion demand that all coal and oil should be left in the ground.

But we need coal to produce steel which is the bed rock of construction and manu fact u ring, and oil to produce plastics, lubricants and fuel for everything from PPE through smartphone sand consumer goods to gearbox oil for wind machines and emergency generators. Giving in to Extinction’s demands would usher in a new Dark Age.

The words of Extinction Rebellion’s founders and its posts on social media make clear that the objective is “system change... bringing down our existing democratic system.... and causing rapid economic disaster.”
