Normal People snubbed at awards

Coronation Street was the big winner at the virtual TV Choice Awards, while Normal People was snubbed.

The long-running ITV soap triumphed in three categories, with Jack P Shepherd winning best soap actor, Shelley King winning best soap actress and the show itself scooping best soap. Despite being nominated three times – best new drama, best actress and best actor – BBC Three’s adaption of Sally Rooney’s Normal People was left empty handed.

The awards ’24 th edition took place in an online format.
