Two men charged over large rave

Two men have been ar­rested and charged after 300 peo­ple at­tended a party in Mid­loth­ian.

P o l i c e w e r e c a l l e d t o Kirkhill Man­sion in Gore­bridge on 30 Au­gust and dis­cov­ered a mass gath­er­ing of peo­ple.

The group was dis­persed a n d a 2 9 - y e a r - o l d m a n was is­sued a fixed penalty no­tice at the time.

After fur ther en­quiries, t wo men aged 20 and 29 were ar­rested and charged in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent.

T h e y a r e t o a p p e a r a t Ed­in­burgh Sher­iff Cour t at a later date.

F i r s t M i n i s t e r N i c o l a Stur­geon com­mented on t h e h o u s e p a r t y, s ay i n g the be­hav­iour was “ut­terly ir­re­spon­si­ble”.
