Two men charged over large rave

Two men have been arrested and charged after 300 people attended a party in Midlothian.

P o l i c e w e r e c a l l e d t o Kirkhill Mansion in Gorebridge on 30 August and discovered a mass gathering of people.

The group was dispersed a n d a 2 9 - y e a r - o l d m a n was issued a fixed penalty notice at the time.

After fur ther enquiries, t wo men aged 20 and 29 were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

T h e y a r e t o a p p e a r a t Edinburgh Sheriff Cour t at a later date.

F i r s t M i n i s t e r N i c o l a Sturgeon commented on t h e h o u s e p a r t y, s ay i n g the behaviour was “utterly irresponsible”.
