Daryl H or­gan has hit the ground run­ning at Wy­combe Wan­der­ers fol­low­ing his move from Hibs, writes Matthew El­der.

The Irish in­ter­na­tional joined the newly-pro­moted English Cham­pi­onship side last week for an undis­closed fee after two years at Easter Road.

He fea­tured in ev­ery game for Jack Ross’ side this sea­son up un­til the most re­cent 1- 0 de­feat to Aberdeen, where his ab­sence was due to the imp end­ing trans­fer fol­low­ing the ar­rival of Jamie Mur­phy on loan from Rangers.

H or­gan’ s last goal for Hib­scamei na pre-sea­son friendly draw with the Dons on 25 July, with his last com­pet­i­tive strike com­ing in a 3-1 win over Mother well last Novem­ber in Ross’s first game in charge.

His most mem­o­rable mo­ment in a Hibs jer­sey came in April 2019 when he scored a dou­ble in an Ed­in­burgh derby win over Hearts at Tynecas­tle.

The 28- year-old quick­lye nd eared him­self to Wy­combe fans as he broke his duck in his first game for his new club at the week­end, scor­ing in the Carabao Cup match against Brentford on Satur­day just days after his Easter Road exit.

The wing er made an in­stant im­pres­sion, com­ing off the bench to equalise as Gareth Ainsworth’s 10 men earned a 1-1 draw after 90 min­utes, be­fore los­ing 4-2 on penal­ties.
