Former G4S executives charged with defrauding UK ministry

Three former executives of G4S C a r e a n d Jus t i c e S e r vices have been charged with d e f r a u d i n g t h e Mi n i s t r y o f Justice (MOJ).

R i c h a r d M o r r i s , f o r m e r m a n a g i n g d i r e c t o r o f t h e company, and t wo ex- directors of its electronic monitoring business – former commercial director Mark Preston and former finance manager James Jardine – are each charged with seven counts of fraud. They appeared at Westminste­r Magistrate­s’ C our t yesterday accused of committing the offences in relation to false representa­tions made to the MOJ. G4S Care and Justice provided electronic monitoring services to the UK government from 2005 to 2013.
