Recruitment software business begins overseas expansion with Irish deal
Recruitment software specialist eTalent has begun its overseas expansion with the appointment of an Irish distributor in a two-year deal worth more than £200,000.
Edinburgh-headquar tered eTalent offers what it says is a unique artificial intel ligence - driven web platform to use b esp oke psychometric assessments of job applicants to identify the most suitable for interview in minutes, “eliminating time wasted on screening CVS and unproductive interviews”. It was founded by Nik Plevan in 2009 and its long-term clients include packing giant Smurfit Kappa and several holders of Cost Coffee franchises.
It has hired Venture Financial Recruitment as its I reland distributor. eTalent will get a 50 percent r evenu es ha re, reducing to 30 per cent as it increases, with the deal expected to be worth more than £100,000 a year to the Edinburgh firm. The deal came about after Plevan met Venture Financial Recruitment principal partner Dan Mckeown, who more than 15 years’ professional services recruitment experience in Ireland and set up Venture in 2015 to offer a tailored recruitment partnership to finance teams inside top multinationals.
He said: “I am very excited to be bringing etalent to Ireland as this soft ware is truly dis - ruptive in offering job advertising, candidate screeni ng and psychometric testing all in one package. Where companies have multiple junior to mid-level vacancies in a calendar year, etalent offers the tools to screen, review and test applications and leave the end user with a shortlist of recommended candidates for interview in minutes via a simple online dashboard.”
Plevan said: “I’m very confident Dan and Venture will create a strong presence for etalent in the Republic and Northern Ireland.”
