M8 will close to help search

The M 8 is due to be closed over the weekend as par t of the search for a man missing since August.

Billy Mcdowell from Whitburn was reported missing in early August and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police have announced that a section of the M 8 between junctions 4 and 4 a will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Inspector My les Marshall said :“Our investigation remains ongoing and as part of our enquiry we’ll have officers searching the area.”
