NFU launch web guide to Brexit
Despite the terms of the UK’S post-b rex it trading arrangements remaining unknown, farmers and growers are being urged to begin planning now for any eventuality when the transition period ends on 31 December.
Issuing the advice yesterday, NFU Scotland announced that it had launched a dedicated webpage to help its members prepare their businesses for the end of the transition period.
“With the negotiations on the future relationship b et ween the UK and the EU still under way and at a critical stage, it is important that we are prepared for any possible outcome,” said union president, Andrew Mccornick.
“Despite the uncertainty of what 1 January 2021 will look like for UK businesses, the team at NFUSh ave produced a comprehensive guide for our members to help them to prepare their businesses properly in the meantime,”
He said the pages prov id ed step-by-step signposting for members to consider, starting with key questions, links to special-
ist UK Government guidance, who to speak to (suppliers, staff, agencies), and where to find further tailored guidance:
