University challenge

- Ken Johnston

Edinburgh University’s decision to issue students with a “final warning” of suspension or exclusion if they are found to have breached Covid- 19 restrictions has been backed by the First Minister and the Scottish Government.

More security staff and more patrolling around student accommodation would be a good start.

Antonello Maraglino I’m a student and have no intention of following any extra restrictions. Lockdown didn’t work and doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is the definition of insanity! The number of people in the student age range that have died is literally in single digits and students tend to stay in groups of a similar age. For us the risk is low.

Adam Fervid Maybe Police Scotland should simply fine each errant student. It’s not as if they don’t know the rules.
