BBC Scotland has vowed to keep showing coronavirus briefings on TV over the ‘ coming weeks’ after a backlash from viewers
Getting sick of everyone making this political and moaning about the briefings etc. If you don’t want to watch it or listen to it, then don’t. You are all supposed to be adults who can make that decision after all! Otherwise let those of us who want to watch it do so in peace! It’s important for a lot of people and will continue to be so going forward while all this goes on. This is the situation and lockdowns are happening all over, whether you like it or not and people need the information as it happens, especially the vulnerable groups who rely on this method of communication and don’t go online.
Leanne Neil
Why should she get this platform to raise her profile, because let’s face it that’s what she really craves? These messages should be delivered by scientific and medical experts without the political connotations.
Kevin Davidson Hopefully they will change their minds about the Welsh and Irish but this is definitely a way forward. We should be getting all the national updates. This is not a political situation, it’s a health safety one.
Sarah Clark Thank you BBC. Nothing to do with politics, it’s about being informed without the drivel you have to go through to get the info. As a senior and apolitical, I just want the bottom line.
Heather Macdonald Unionists getting their knickers in a twist over people power and common sense prevailing. So where is their leader when needed in a public health crisis? Oh yes, usually hiding in a fridge!
Raymond Rose Thankfully watching them is optional.
Simon Evans Look objectively. Imagine a Scottish channel broadcasting a Scottish political leader talking about how a worldwide pandemic impacts on Scotland. Then imagine people being upset by this. Weird, isn’t it?
Paul Hepburn Haven’t watched one of these awful propaganda exercises. When will Scotland ever learn that we are ruled by an inadequate cabal whose only agenda is to be anti- English? have caved in to SNP political propaganda.
