DRAMA
Us
Tom Hollander and Saskia Reeves star in this four- part adaptation of the comic novel by David Nicholls. Douglas Petersen ( Hollander) is looking forward to a grand tour of Europe with wife Connie ( Reeves) and their son Albie ( Tom Taylor).
Douglas has pegged it as the family holiday of a lifetime, to mark their last summer together before Albie leaves home for university. However before they embark on the trip, Connie drops a bombshell: she’s not sure she wants to be married to Douglas any more.
Douglas seizes the holiday as his chance to fix things, a desperate quest to save his marriage as they visit Amsterdam, Venice, Barcelona and Paris. Told with the addition of flashbacks, student- aged Douglas and Connie are played by Iain Decaestecker and Gina Bramhill. Tomorrow, BBC1, 9pm
