Stranded women rescued from isle
Three women have been rescued by life boat after they became stranded on a small island.
The women were cut off by the tide after spending the afternoon on a little island off Arisaig in Lochaber.
Mallaig RNLI Lifeboat rescued the trio and took them back to shore after they called for help at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “They had been enjoying their day on the island and then realised they were cut off by the tide.”
