Law firm Lindsays adds partner to growing Dundee operations

● Law firm Lindsays has signed up a new partner. Caroline Fraser joins the private client team at its Dundee office from Miller Hendr y in the city, where she had worked for 14 years. Fraser said: “I am excited to join and be part of the firm’s growth both in Dundee and generally.” Lindsays said her arrival comes at a time of growth for the firm in the city, following the arrival of David Rose as a partner in its commercial property team and Darren Leahy’s promotion to partner in the same department. Managing partner Alasdair Cummings said: “We know that with her experience, enthusiasm and strong reputation, particular­ly in Tayside, Caroline will be a fantastic addition for the firm and our clients, further strengthen­ing our growing team in Dundee.”

A b e rd e e n Sta n d a rd I nve s t me n ts (ASI) has announced that Mark Redman will succeed Peter Mckellar as global head of private markets. Mckellar will retire at the end of September after more than 20 years with the business. Redman will join ASI as global head of private markets designate in October and take the reins, subject to regulatory approval. In his new role, Redman will be supported by Neil Slater in his capacity as deput y head of private markets and global head of real estate. Redman said: “I’m delighted to be joining ASI to lead its private markets franchise. As investors increase their exposure to private markets to meet their financial objectives, we are in prime position to provide single - and multi-strategy s o l u t i o n s . I ’m l o o k i n g f o r w a r d t o working with the team and the broader business to continue to grow the franchise and deliver for its global client base.”

● Scottish care provider Meallmore has promoted Carol-anne Foote to the newly created role of commission­ing and business developmen­t manager. She will work with the operations team to develop the company’s portfolio of facilities providing person-centred care and support, while also expanding the offering of care to people across S cotland on both existing care homes and new developmen­ts. Foote started her career as a registered mental health nurse and joined Meallmore in 2005 as care home manager for Forthland Lodge in Edinburgh. Mary Preston, operations director at Meallmore, said: “Carol-anne is a perfect fit for this position and is sure to strengthen our commitment to providing high levels of quality care in each of our care homes.” The organisati­on opened its first care home, Meallmore Lodge in Inverness, in 1987 and now has a network of 23 across Scotland, with another due to open this winter.
