New precautionary measures introduced by boiler manufacturer Worcester Bosch to improve homeowner safety and comfort

-

The Commitment intends to do two things:

• Give customers reassurance that any visiting installer who signs up to the commitment will have the knowledge and tools to take the right precautionary measures

• Give installers clarity and help them communicate the correct social distancing and hygiene guidelines they need to be following when entering customers’ homes

If you’re unsure which installers are members of this scheme, who have equipped themselves with the tools and the knowledge to conduct work in your home safely, just head to their company pages. If you can see the Safe in Your Home Installer Commitment badge on their company website or social channels, that means they’ve signed up – it’s that simple. If you’re l ooking for a new boiler installation, all installers available via the Worcester Bosch Fasttrack Survey and Installation service have signed the pledge.

You’ll then want to ensure these guidelines are adhered to – so make sure when booking your next home visit that your installer provides you with the right instructions to help you, and them, stay safe at home at this time. This’ll be in the form of an email checklist for you to fill i n pre-visit, as well as guidance documents laying out the precautions they’ll be taking i n your home.

Matt Wilson, from Leicester-based company Fox Boiler Care is one of the thousands of installers signed up to the initiative. He chose to join so he knew that he could return to work in the knowledge that he could safely carry out installations and reassure his customers. This enabled his business “to begin to return to work in a new world of doing things, whilst also restoring the confidence of homeowners that we are carrying out the necessary precautions.”

The initiative was introduced earlier this summer by Worcester Bosch, as an essential tool during such unprecedented times. Victoria Billings, Director of Marketing, echoes these thoughts; “It is so important to support customers during this challenging time, reassuring them about the safety precautions installers are taking whilst working in their homes. This initiative intends to do just that and ensure that homeowners and installers are reassured and clear regarding safety considerations for an at-home visit, with a variety of digital and physical reminders putting safety front and centre of every visit.”

The commitment that thousands of installers have already signed up for can be read here — www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/siyh.

For your next home visit, make sure your safety is the number one priority.
