Orders take dive at UK factories

-

UK factories have seen orders fall at the fastest rate since June this month, according to a survey by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

The report showed the balance of total order books fell to -48 in September against -44 in August and far lower than the long-run average. It found the decline in manufacturing output by volume slowed, but remained well below normal conditions due to Covid.
