London will face tougher Covid-19 restrictions from Saturday as the English capital moves from Tier 1 to Tier 2 restrictions, Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed.

Let us all be adults, if we feel we are vulnerable we take the decision ourselves to shield. This virus has less than 0.01% mortality rate. What on earth are this government doing?”

@jax987 replied: “Yes, let's hope none of your friends or family aren't in that tiny percentage or the higher percentage who get covid, get very sick and need help to breathe. If this was a black/white issue, ie you got it and died or got it and were mildly ill it would be different.
