-

Dundee look to get their push to be involved in the Championship title race going by seeing off visitors Morton and putting the 6- 2 defeat at Hearts behind them.

D e n s P a r k b o s s J a me s Mcpake is glad to be going back i nto battl e s o quickly as he explained: “We have watched the Hearts game and whilst the analysis showed up a number of things we need to improve on, we are not going to dive in and change all of our plans.”

“What happened at Tynecastle happened and it is good to be playing Morton now. The players have been looking forward to this game so kick- off cannot come quick enough.”

Morton’s Cameron Salkeld who scored t he winner i n t he 1- 0 success over Alloa last weekend said: “Going up against Charlie Adam will be great as I grew up watching him play in the English Premiership. He has returned to his home- town team and to play against someone of that experience will be fantastic.”

Dunfermline look to build on an encouraging win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle by winning at Alloa however manager Stevie Crawford has issued a note of caution.

The East End Park boss said: “Confidence has i ncreased after the win but we cannot underestimate Alloa. We lost on our last visit and it was not an enjoyable experience.”

Alloa manager Peter Grant is also wary as he said: “Dunfermline lost a great striker in Kevin Nisbet but they are actually looking stronger.”

Ayr United head north to Inverness bolstered by t he loan signings of Innes Cameron from Kilmarnock and Du n d e e Un i t e d ’s C a mmy Smith with manager Mark Kerr saying: “We have added two players that carry a goal threat.”

Inverness are missing seven players with Kevin Mchattie, Lewis Toshney, David Carson, Aaron Doran, Miles Storey, Shane Sutherland and Nikolay Todorov all ruled out with manager John Robertson saying: “I have never gone into a game with so many players unavailable.”

Queen of t he S outh host Raith Rovers but with neither manager present. Queens boss Allan Johnston in isolation following a positive Covid case in his backroom staff and Raith boss John Mcglynn has had gallbladder surgery.
