Top- 10 finishes for Macdonald and Henry as Lee wins under lights

Scottish duo Kelsey Macdonald and Kylie Henry both finished with a flourish as Australian Minjee Lee landed a second LET t ri umph with victory in the Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic.

World No 9 Lee, the highest- ranked player in the field, holed a 20- foot birdie putt at the first extra hole on the Faldo Course at the Emirates Golf Club to beat Frenchwoma­n Celine Boutier in a play- off.

Po p o v i n t h e A I G Women's Open at Royal Troon in August, had closed with a three- under- par 69 to finish with a 10- under 206 total.

"It was really fun today," said the 24- year- old after adding to her 2018 Oates Victorian Open win on the LET and her eighth profession­al triumph in total.

"It is pretty special to experience day/ night golf on this wonderful golf course."

Lee had been unable to convert a 12- foot birdie putt to claim victory on the 54th hole, however she made no mistake from the other side of the hole in the play- off.

"I could not see the break so well," she admitted.

"But I knew it was going to be slow."

Macdonald finished in a tie for eighth place after signing off with a 68 for a seven- under total, one less than Henry after she carded a course- record 63.

The t wo- time LET winner signed for halves of 31- 32, picking up four birdies in a row from the third before adding others at the eighth, 10th, 13th, 16th and 17th.

Dubai- based S cot Alison Muirhead also finished in the top 20, signing off with a 70 for three- under.
