Young Warriors urged to step up against Ulster

Danny Wilson has challenged his Glasgow young guns to put on a show against Ulster in Belfast tonight.

The Warriors coach has made seven changes from last week's home defeat to Leinster ahead of their trip to the Kingspan Stadium.

The S cotstoun outfit have won just one of their four opening Guinness Pro14 fixtures but Wilson hopes the fresh-faced XV he has named for tonight's clash will spark a turnaround in fortunes.

He said :" With our internatio­nals staying with Scotland we have had to make a numb er of changes across the park. Monday is a massive opportunit­y for a lot of our young guys to step up and show what they can do.

"We're putting a young, fast, energetic squad out onto the park and we're excited to see what this team will produce."

Summer arrival Enrique Pieretto makes his first start for the club as the Argentina internatio­nal packs down at tight-head prop. Pieretto is joined in the front row by AkiSeiu li and Grant Stewart, while Kiran Mcdonald makes his first appearance of the season in the second row alongside Rob Harley.

The back row is once again unchanged, as Ryan Wilson and Tom Gordon start either side of Samoan No 8 TJ Ioane.

Scrum-half Jamie Dobie is promoted from the bench, with Pete Horne continuing at fly-half. A new-look midfield partnershi­p see sS taff ordMc do wall come into the line-up at inside centre, while Robbie Fergusson makes his first Glasgow appearance in five years after being named in the No 13 shirt.

Niko Matawalu and R atu Tagive will start on the wings with Glenn Bryce starting at full-back for his first outing of the campaign.
