Strictly’s first same-sex couple forced out of dance contest after positive test
Kat ya Jones has describ ed h e r S t r i c t l y C o m e D a n c - ing celebrit y par tner Nico - la Adams as "my hero" after testing positive for coronavirus, forcing them to leave the show.
The Russian professional dancer, 31, shared her heartbreak in a post on Instagram after receiving a positive test while asymptomatic.
A l o n g s i d e a p i c t u r e o f herself and Olympic boxer Adams, she said: "My hear t is broken I'm utterly gutted this Special journey had to end this way and you don't get to give more.
"@ n i c o l a a d a m s Yo u a r e a woman who didn't need a hero, you became one. Definitely my hero.
"To everyone, thank you for yo u r t r e men d o us s upp or t and we will keep dancing for you guys one way or another.”
T h e p a i r, w h o we r e t h e show's first same-sex couple, are self-isolating separately.

Adams said: "I'm absolutely devastated my Strictly journey has come to an end so soon. I had so much more to give and so many people to win this for. But I just want to say a huge thank you to Katya for being the best dance partner anyone could ask for.
"She pushed me way out of my comfort zone and it's b een an incredible exp erience. I'm gutted to be out of the competition but in these unprecedented times and as frustrating as it is, the Covid measures in place are to keep everyone safe, and I'm doing what I can to help.
