Just the jab

-

Scotland’s first Covid-19 vaccinations are under way at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. The Western General is one of 23 sites around Scotland which will act as vaccination centres for the priority groups.

Wondering how long we got to wait for the side-effects to kick in. Then the longterm unknown health risks. Think I will wait to see what happens.

Chris Hindle

I ain’t no anti-vaxxer. I had my kids vaccinated and one gets a yearly flu jab, but the long-term unknowns with this vaccine are a genuine thing. I’ve no idea why folk think you have be be on one side or the other as there’s a massive space in between, like most things in life.

Keith Taylor

Have you considered the long-term effects of Covid? And I mean just the ones that are known, not the ones that might emerge in years to come.

Birgit Gaiser

One thing’s for sure – all the elderly people getting the vaccine have a hell of a lot more backbone the some of the spineless wimps who come out with ever more stupid reasons not to take it, when in reality they are frightened, unlike the elderly. Not to mention the nutters who refuse to admit Covid19's existence. You should be making your decision based on what the medical experts tell us. By refusing to take it is indeed your choice but a selfish one as the more that take it the more across society will be protected, your friends and family being the most obvious cases. As a matter of interest what would people who say they won’t take the vaccine say is the alternative the vaccine?

David Black

Why did our First Minister not lead by example and be the first in Scotland to get vaccinated?

Ken Johnston The First Minister didnt have a first vaccine because vaccinations are first for frontline staff, people in residential homes and the over-80s. If she was one of the first to take it you would be criticising her for jumping the queue.
