Merry July!

-

Office Christmas parties that cannot be held virtually face being postponed until summer, Nicola Sturgeon said.

The megalomania has definitely set in and grown to unmanageable proportions. It is rare to see one person enjoy a power trip so much. The fall will be spectacular and the quicker the better for the well-being of Scotland.

Border Bill Be careful what you wish for, Bill.

Big Mac

Well, that was quite a revelation about the scientific advice on Edinburgh! Of course the decision wasn’t political, Niola, of course it wasn’t… even the judge said it was political the other day.

Paul Henderson Christmas parties cancelled until the summer. Welcome to the topsy turvy world of One Party control where the One Supreme leader rules by diktat. Where the Devolved Assembly unthinkingly nods its agreement. Where legal enquiries are ignored or treated with contempt. Where cash is doled out ultimately to buy votes and popularity and from funds earmarked for other purposes. Where MPS travel with covid but retain their seats. Where the prime tactic of the One Party is to carp and moan about the actions of the British Government.

Way-hey

If she’s got nothing sensible to say can she please just not say anything at all?

Stephen Gardiner

She was probably responding to one of the many stupid questions posed to her.

Gill Cowe

I personally would forego one Christmas to ensure I would see future Christmases.

Richard Davis

Any intelligent person would work that out themselves but unfortunately some people need help to think, not that they’ll do the right thing to protect vulnerable others. If people stopped to think, Nicola could shut up.

John Milne I used to hate them but as a director felt obliged to go. One of the benefits of self employment is no office party

Monkey seized

Families watched in horror as escaped monkey mauled to death by lions at Blair Drummond Safari Park.

Sad maybe, but also very natural and an opportunity to see what these animals would do in the wild! They are wild animals and nothing about this is out of character, not sure why the park felt obliged to apologise.

Annabelle Santini-sprot

Even more distressing than wild animals being caged up 1000s of miles from their natural habitat?

Sharon Forbes

Sad, yes...but that's nature! Any family watching had the opportunity to turn or walk away. It's a lesson on what happens in their natural habitat.

Debbie Colquhoun Natural instinct. Lions are predators. Doing what comes naturally. It's a wildlife park, not a petting zoo.

Raymond Campbell

What else can we expect, these are beautiful wild animals, they hunt their prey in the wilds and hunting down a monkey in captivity or in the wild. It's natural, so stop all the sympathy and apology nonsense, get on with the job – you have to kill animals to feed the meat to them so what's the difference, maybe we could be using this as education show the children and adults how these animals live and hunt their prey in the wild rather than go pussyfooting about apologising.

Alex Pejewski

"Red in tooth and claw" – what else can you expect. You are in a "safari park" Just because it's at Stirling – it isn't immune from "real life".

Evie Johnstone

Elton wasn't wrong when he sang about the Circle of Life.

Mark Cassidy

Good lesson of real life and how nature is brutal and unforgiving.

Pabloo Hołubowicz

I am surprised that this hasn’t happened before, t o be honest! At the end of the day they are wild animals. They are too close together. I understand it’s nature but it’s the last thing that you think you would see in a controlled environment.

Tracy Mckeown-stewart It’s nature, no different than if it was a domestic cat with a mouse.

Lisa Whitmarsh

Nature is as brutal as it's beautiful.

David Collado Romanillos

Poor wee monkey - it’s probably the most excitement the lions have had for a while, tho.

Lindsay Young.

And they'd do the same to you if they got the chance.

Callum Macleod

Definitely on a lion’s job description, killing things, and no more than Sir David Attenborough would show you.
