Gary Scott For all those wishing for independence, just consider the £ 16 billion debt we are in, the state of our NHS , education, highest death rate of Covid per population, drug- related deaths and unemployment, businesses disappearing overnight. All in all, not a bad country to be thinking of going alone. God help us if it ever happens.

I would vote No. I'd probably be fine in the event that Yes won, but huge numbers of people depending on the public sector wouldn't be and I don't want that on my conscience. And leaving the U nion with England, Wales and Northern Ireland just to hand over the levers of power to the EU isn't "independence".
