# BREXIT

After months of negotiation, the UK and the EU have agreed on a post- Brexit trade deal days before the deadline. @ peter_ j_ boyle wrote: “A worse deal than we had as part of the EU – no Freedom of Movement, tons of new red tape and the UK on the road to break up. Quite an achievement.”

@ sticketypooh tweeted:

“The Prime Minister is pretty brazen to say that there are no non- tariff barriers to trade when this is an outright lie.”

@ gdnstill1 replied: “He knows his base don’t know what NTBS are. He probably doesn’t either.”

@ hazel_ haywood wrote: “The fools believe him, though, or don't want to admit they have been duped.”

@ markhughes wrote: “Agricultural producers expect costs to rise 4 per cent- 8 per cent due to extra red tape. That goes both ways, so increases cost of imports ( food), manufacturing inputs etc. UK border costs have also multiplied as we now have more border officials than the whole of the EU.”

@ Ojcross said: “If you think Boris Johnson has read it, when he can’t even read his morning briefings, then you’re kidding yourself. It’s like watching a child pretend to have read a book for homework. He’ll be talking about the front cover when it comes to robust, te chnical questions...”

@ Phil_ world88 wrote: “Heard it all before, time will tell.”

@ Ben8932 wrote: “Well, he wasn't going to come out and say ' Europe have stiffed us lads, have a Merry Christmas.” @ jessiehosking asked: “Is there a guarantee we’ll be prosperous?”

@ Le_ Captain said: “We were a prosperous, dynamic and contented UK before all this B rexit stuff, not sure we are any more.”

@ Madge557 wondered: “When do I get my £ 10K Brexit Bonus?”

@ woodeymartn asked: “Is it me or does it seem the more he is questioned the less he seems to know about what he’s agreed?”

@ Colbangers said: “The best deal is the one we’ve torn up. Britain now a second- rate, fringe state, but we won a war, so...”

@ Iandunt wrote: “The government wants Brexiters to believe that this is our final step out of the EU. In fact, it is our first step back towards it.” @ dirtylyle asked: “Hasn’t he wrecked Christmas enough?!”
