Glasgow's Two Rivers Media wins two-year deal to work on new series of hit television show Escape to the Chateau

Glasgow-based production company Two Rivers Media and Chateau TV have secured a two-year programmin­g deal from Channel 4 that will include two new series of hit show Escape to the Chateau.

The latest win comes on the back of the scots firm’ s strategic collaborat­ion with Chateau TV – Dick and Angel Strawbridg­e’s own production company.

The commission­ing deal comprisest­wo new eight-part series of escape to the cha te au, which is hosted by Dick and Angel, a recommissi­on of Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend, and a further series featuring Dick and Angel which is currently in developmen­t.

All3media Internatio­nal will be the internatio­nal partner on each of the series.

Two Rivers’ and Chateau TV’S first programmin­g collaborat­ion was Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend. The prime time series for channel 4 –filmed by the straw bridge son locationin­france–seesthepai­r help solve the nation’ s make-do and mend dilemmas.

Sean Doyle, deputy head of features and formats at Channel 4, said: “Dick and Angel are hugely popular, as was seen by the reaction to Make Do and Mend and the record-breaking figures for Escape to the C hate au at the end of 2020. they are jewels in the Channel 4 crown.”
