A new development of million pound homes has come on the market in Balerno, Edinburgh.
Eight luxury homes in Balerno boasting five bedrooms, oodles of living space and a detached garage are some of the roomiest ever built by Cala Homes – and come with a similarly large seven -figure price tag, ranging from £1,095,000 to £1,255,000.
Fancy a brand-new hi-spec mansion with four times the living space of the average home in Scotland, situated in a leafy suburb of the Scottish capital?
Well eight such luxury homes have just come on the market in Edinburgh, boasting five bedrooms, oodles of living space and a large detached garage.
The properties are some of the roomiest ever built by housing firm Cala Homes – and come with a similarly large seven -figure price tag.
They are part of the new Ravelrig Heights development, in Edinburgh’s soughtafter Balerno area, and join a growing list of millionaire homes in the city.
The number of streets in Edinburgh where the average home costs at least £1 million has increased more than 10-fold over the past five years, jumping from two in 2015 to 22 in 2020.
Houses in the Avenue at Ravelrig Heights range from £1,095,000 to £1,255,000, and come with top-end fixtures and fittings as standard, including underfloor heating, private electric gated entrances and large secluded gardens.
The development is located just eight miles from Edinburgh city centre, with easy access to the airport and surrounding countryside.
Philip Hogg, sales and marketing director for Cala Homes (East), said: “Constructed to the edge of our Balerno development, the Avenue ensures buyers plenty of privacy and rural views.
“They also feature extremely large plot sizes, not often found in the area.
“These homes really do represent the pinnacle of family living - they are aspirational homes that don’t compromise on space, grandeur or spec, while also offering buyers city convenience alongside secluded, rural surroundings.”
There are a range of house styles available in the Avenue.
The homes offer an openplan kitchen, dining and living area, a large lounge overlooking an outdoor patio, a separate
dining room for more formal entertaining, a study and a utility room. Each has five double bedrooms upstairs, three with en-suite facilities. Master
bedrooms also boast a dressing area.
Cala began developing 346 homes across two Balerno sites - Ravelrig Heights and
Kingfisher Park - in 2017. The Avenue is part of the final phase of Ravelrig Heights.
