Growing concerns for Glasgow teenager missing for seven days

- By HANNAH BROWN

There are growing concerns for 17 year-old Aidan Renfrew from Glasgow who has not been seen in seven days. 17, was last seen in Cambuskenneth Place in the Craigend area of the city at around 1pm on January 25.

Aidan has not been in touch with his family or friends since then which – despite his “independent” nature – has been described as “out of character” and police have said they are worried for his well-being.

Extensive enquiries by Police Scotland have been carried out to locate Aidan, however, all attempts to find him have so far proved unsuccessful.

He was reported missing to police on 28 January, 2021 and police are currently appealing for help from the public in tracing the teenager.

Aidan is described as white, around 5 ft. 10-11 inches in height, with a very slim build. He has short, dark brown hair and has no eyebrows as he recently shaved them off. He is described as being unkempt in his appearance.

Officers have been review ing CCTV footage for any additional information it could provide.

Sergeant David Leslie said: “Aidan is an independent, young man, however, it’s out of character for him not to be in touch with his friends and family and friends and our concern for him is growing. I am appealing to anyone who has may have seen Aidan or who has any information as to his whereabouts to contact us.”

If anyone has any information, police ask them to call 101, quoting incident number 1738 of the 28 January, 2021.
