Dr Liam Fox MP attacked Nicola Sturgeon’s government for handling the Salmond Inquiry like a “tin pot dictatorship”.

@jeffrey6209 wrote: “Dont think Sturgeon will be that unhappy with the intervention of the good doctor.”

@timpnonathan wrote: “Plays right into the Nats hands thanks Liam.”

@broadhurstandy wrote: “This might have meant something… from someone with credibility.”

@mikewizz tweeted: “Is that Liam ‘easiest deal in history’ Fox, or another Liam Fox?”

@taf0650 piped up: “He’s right. That’s exactly what Sturgeon is. She is Scotland’s shame.”

@chrisbrighton said: “Did a Brexiteer and one of Boris Johnson’s Conservative MP’S really just complain about Scotland bringing the UK into ‘international ridicule and disrepute’?”

@Markvipond wrote: “Sturgeon's position has clearly become utterly untenable. She's ruling as a tinpot dictator, making the rules up as she goes along. Surely the time has come for her to be held to account.”

@straftanz tweeted: “Liam Fox thinking that Britain still has an international reputation Scotland could damage is hilarious.” @iainmacanddog wrote: “That sound is Liam Fox cranking the propaganda machine of the British State into life.”

#NEILLENNON

Celtic manager Neil Lennon resigned after a string of poor results.

@Paulgaffney tweeted: “He won 5 league titles. 5 cup trophies. Came in at short notice to help the club. Secured 9 and the quadruple treble. Never mind what he did as a player. 1 bad season won’t take away his legend status for me."

@reay_allen wrote: “The Celtic fans are welcome to each other. They have become what Rangers fans were before they died. Self righteous, with a misplaced superiority complex and a total lack of humility. Their absolute denigration of Lennon (a true legend) and Lawwell is expected and utterly shameful.”

@jeeves1967 said: “No doubt there will be a core of fans who say 'good riddance' but that would ignore the success Lennon has had at the club. He deserves our gratitude despite our disappointment at this season. Yes, he should have gone earlier but show some class.”
