#DIANA

Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey he feared history repeating itself – his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, died at 36 in a car crash in Paris while being pursued by paparazzi.

@Mikeabbot2 wrote: “Demonised by the Daily Mail and Telegraph, he has every right to be concerned...”

@MVTRAP tweeted: “Couple who want privacy from the media go on Oprah to tell how they want privacy from the media.”

@Rumokp replied: “They never said that they were leaving the British Royal Family in order to protect their privacy but because of the toxicity of the British media on their mental health. The privacy thing was insinuated by the said British media.”

@Donnaaress said: “The press have been appalling, yes, sadly it sells papers but [Meghan] was not young when they met, unlike Diana with Charles.”

@cazzrhughes added: “This is just going to keep the attention on them. But then that's the point. They can't keep themselves relevant without being in the news and what is the point of an ex royal and an actress most of us hadn't heard of? Not sure their new grass is that green.”

@frankenhooke wrote: “He's doing what he feels is best for his wife and children, fair play to him.”

#GOLDENGLOBES

Awards season kicked off with the Golden Globes in the US. Winners included Danielkaluuya, Rosamund Pike and the late Chadwick Boseman.

@jackthefact29 wrote: “The Crown is the 4th show in history to win 4 #Goldenglobes in one year, following The Sopranos, Twin Peaks and Alice.”

@chisdelvalled gushed: “Yes! I love I Care a Lot. I am very happy to see Rosamund Pike win the Golden Globes for her wicked and phenomenal performance in I Care a Lot. Congratulations!”

@hizhaz joked: “Now I know why directors are always behind the camera, they all have funny faces”

@dan_baynham95 wrote: “The Crown absolutely killed it at the Golden Globes last night! Best actor and actress, best supporting actress, best drama series! Truly deserving awards for what is an extraordinary show.”

@marginllyok1 killed the mood: “A narrow view of excellence limits our ability to benefit from difference.”
