Resignations time ?

Resignations must follow Alex Salmond report fallout for the public to feel like someone in government has taken responsibility, wrote Conor Matchett. Watching the debate on the Vote of No Confidence it’s pretty clear that Sturgeon is finished. Sure she’ll lead the Nationalists into the May elections but there’s not the slightest chance that she’ll continue in office for another term.

Wayne Morris You are deluded , she has come out of this stronger than ever. The Tories have egg all over their face , they should be ashamed of themselves with their conduct throughout this process.

Michael Winters Ruth Davidson only got 30 odd votes for her motion. Nothing to see here.

Gus Stewart No way she’s stronger – everyone other than the most blinkered knows she winged it.

Mike Scales

The only reason she would look like being in pieces is because she has had to endure weeks of unnecessary torture. Yet she has managed to be strong for her country, being there on the podium every day, reassuring the people of Scotland that the best is being done and consoling those who had lost loved ones. She's been taken to the cleaners and is now cleaner/stronger than ever.

Alison Lunn

It’s the Civil Service doyenne that should be resigning and everyone knows it.

Juli Harris

Obviously the [Conservatives] plan was to try and break the trust the people of Scotland have in Nicola and to make the election about her leadership .It's failed

spectacularl y, Nicola is now even more popular. Labour tried to distance themselves whilethetories continue to dig themselves deeper into a hole.

Blind eye?

Jon Rockss

The two civil servants who alleged sexual harassment by former first minister Alex Salmond told MSPS that a “blind eye” was turned to his behaviour and the government’s internal complaints policies were “laughable”.

This would still seem to be the norm for many workplaces and people knew

that you put your career in jeopardy, perhaps finish it, if you call people out for this kind of behaviour. As an example, the oil industry is rife with it.

Juli Harris

No workplace I've ever been employed in had anything other than a hostile attitude to the raising of complaints – of whatever nature. You did it at your peril.

Harold Constaintine

This doesn’t surprise me in the least!

Margaret Mccormack

Is there a point?

The committee investigating how the Scottish Government handled complaints of sexual harassment against former First Minister Alexsalmond hasfinally published its muchanticipated report.

Pray tell me, what's the point of this? Sturgeon will just shrug it off as being political. Step in Salmond again, he'll not let this lie as the end of the matter.

Helen Greig With a bit of luck she wont get voted back in, her party is a disgrace.

Patsy Cruickshank

Moving on. I think there may be more important matters for Parliament to deal with instead of this nonsense.

Fraser Mcgregor

It’s possible, maybe she was so traumatised on hearing her mentor and much- respected leader was accused of sexual misconduct, to her that would be devastating.

Evelyn Mcallister

To call these prejudged opinions "findings" demonstrates a poor analysis of the process.

Ni Holmes

She can do no wrong in the eyes of SNP members. There’s zero difference between SNP supporters and T rump supporters. They both support their al mighty leader blindly.

Alexandros Voridis

Majority of SNP voters are not SNP members. the primary reason they vote SNP is I ndependence, in fact for many that is the only reason. Last election results showed that.

Eleanor Mccarrey

What are you on about? S he openly says the government got things wrong, she has apologised and presumably SNP members accept that!

Raymond Rose

I am not blindly following her. I read about her policies and I see her integrity. I follow her because I respect her and the fantastic job she is doing under excruciatingly difficulties.
