Bridge of sighs

-

The SNP has unveiled plans for a new bridge running the six miles from Gourock to Dunoon to reduce reliance on ferries.

Yet another promise Sturgeon has no intention of keeping.

John Elliot She must be losing track of all the costly promises she has made in the last month. I wish some SNP voters, who have seen the light, would speak up and question where all the money is coming from.

George Fraser Hope it works out better than the last bridge they built – with Chinese steel, and that can't be used safely in wi nter?

Llorna Sshiels How high is the bridge going to be to clear the cruise liners?

Angela Picozzi Roll up, roll up, it’s election time – the opportunity to have unlimited “free” stuff and unviable infrastructure.

Stewart Kirkwood As long as there's no frost in that part of the world…

Callum Macleod More empty promises!

Callum Macpherson Better building a bridge between the divided sides of Scotland.

JIM B Adair I think a bridge between G ourock and Dunoon would be much easier!

Barry Martin I'll take the ferry any time.

Jenny Mollison More sound bites for the gullible.

Fiona Mcallister All these promises

– has Sturgeon found the Crown Je wels?

Calum Maccallum That is a bridge too far.

Gordon Reilly Well that’s one bridge not being built. The SNP, we say anything we like, because you lot don’t seem to give a hoot.

Empty promises?

“These days all it takes is a yellow and black rosette, such is the belief so many voters have in Nicola Sturgeon – no matter if she delivers on her promises or not,” wrote columnist Gina Davidson.

It’s a continual disappointment that so many fellow Scots are so easily manipulated by the SNP dog

whistles. All they need is to say any one of these three words and they’re a shoo-in: ‘Tory’ ‘Westminster’ ‘Boris’.

Douglas W Scott "Imagine if you first voted for the SNP in 2007, the year the party became a minority government, are you still impressed by them after three terms in government?" Yes, actually I am. Why? Because if you look south of the B order you will see the alternative, which is much worse.

Giovanni Gentles Ah, standard SNP cult reply. Whataboutery…

Joe Brown So whatever one thinks of "south of the Border", which in many ways is better (but hey, that's just my opinion), what you're saying is that Sturgeon may be utterly terrible and failed to deliver, I'm going to compare her with a situation that, for many reasons, is incomparable with Scotland?

Graeme Thirde She has failed spectacularly b ut is promising more

– don’t expect them to be kept, either.

Judy Fletcher The broken promises are legion.

Paula Shaw She asked to be judged on education so she has failed, end of.

Billy Smith In the local C o-op I gave the girl the right amount in coins. She couldn't count it. SNP education in action. Poor lassie never stood a chance in life.

Billy Adams I had people in my class at school in the Sixties who couldn’t count. There are always some who really struggle.

Yvonne Mackay Oh aye, and a hell of a lot more of them under 14 yea rs of SNP rule!

Margaret Wall Please explain how building 117 new schools is failure, how record numbers of school leavers gaining places in further or higher education is a failure.

Ni Holmes Meanwhile the most corrupt, untrustworthy UK government ever, is 14 per cent a head in the polls.

Ally Maciver What's really sick about all these SNP electoral bribes is that they exploit the gullibility of the most vulnerable in our society. The simple-minded, the uneducated and the desperate, all of whom will be cast aside in the SNP'S race for personal enrichment if they win.
