Labour has accused Boris Johnson of lying over who paid for renovations to his Downing Street flat. Pressure is growing on the PM to reveal details after his ex-adviser, Dominic Cummings, claimed he planned for donors to "secretly pay" for the work.

@Alichat66 said: “We don’t care. The only good thing coming out of this non-story is Labour falling even further in the polls because they care more about this than anything else.”

@wigster289 replied:

“I can understand why corruption is of zero per cent interest. Why would you want you hold the elected government to account over anything potentially illegal?”

@andyfwaite posted: “Have Labour seen what’s going on in the rest of the world or even this country? Do they have anything useful to contribute to anything? They really are a hapless, hopeless bunch, driven by far-left fools who can’t see they are responsible for this unfettered Tory power.”

@Dr_dan_stratton commented: “Who cares about the flat! What about the other stuff?”

@nhearn007 added: “It’s state owned property. Only the state, via the taxpayer should renovate it. Neither the PM of the day nor any other private individual or body, should provide money for the work. That way leads to corruption. Hence questions are being asked.”

#DUP

Democratic Unionist Party assembly members in Northern Ireland are being asked to sign a letter of no confidence in party leader Arlene Foster, it is being reported. The letter is being circulated among the DUP assembly team.

@Benbradgate said: “It has taken 18 months, but even the thickest DUP members are finally starting to realise that not voting for Theresa May’s Brexit deal was a very serious mistake.”

@ferrus1991 asked: “How will they survive without the genius strategist who managed to turn electoral fortune in 2017 into ignominous humiliation in a couple of years?”

@markofbattersea posted: “They went down the foolish road of supporting Brexit, and now they're fighting like rats in a sack in the aftermath.”

@nowishappening1 commented: “Let me guess, she's not radical enough?"

@Jimodon29092816 added: “I guess Arlene will be saying ‘No surrender’.”
