#VIEWPOINT

ITV announced it would not air the final episode of daily drama Viewpoint last night after star Noel Clarke was accused of sexual misconduct and bullying. It was to be available on the ITV Hub streaming service. @clawmaw wrote: “Surely ITV would have heard the rumours of the allegations before you aired the first episode?! Why didn't you make the decision to cancel the whole show before airing it? What sense does it make to waste people's time watching it, only to pull the last episode.” @Dannyboyjones23 wrote: “This is a really poor decision. Lots of older people won’t be able to finish this excellent series. The other actors involved and writers etc deserve better. Allegations should be treated as allegations and not as fact. Pathetic.” @justleahk replied: “Agreed. If people feel strongly about it then they can choose not to watch. I’ve watched Viewpoint all week and was looking forward to watching the final episode.” @Ld_sth said: “Although the allegations are of a serious nature, as yet, Noel Clarke hasn't been found quilty of anything. ITV are playing judge and jury and this isn't your job. If viewers don't want to watch the final episode, they can always change channel."

#ALISON

TV presenter Alison Hammond said on This Morning that she was "hesitant" about getting the Covid vaccine. @cellebrityradio tweeted: “I think Alison just ended her career. Saying on ITV she doesn’t want the jab is not the mantra of government or media."

@vickster51 wrote: “I’m sorry Alison, but you are in a position of influence on the television and saying you are vaccine-hesitant on that platform is hugely irresponsible.”

@tarzyroo wrote: “Wait until she fancies a jolly abroad and her destination country says, had the jabs yet? No – then you're not coming in." @geoffwilkinson said: “Freedom of speech, personal choice. Two very important things many people in these comments seem to have forgotten.” @Terrypettigrew said: “So Alison Hammond is hesitant to take a Covid vaccine that is her choice but not sure this should have been said publicly on live TV as this is not going to help the uptake in the Black community who are among the most at risk.”
